Testbed 19 Demonstration Days
January 16 @ 9:00 am - January 17 @ 12:00 pm
The Testbed-19 Demonstration Days will showcase working demonstrations of the new levels of location interoperability developed during Testbed-19 across its 6 topics.
The event is free. Please register here.
The two-day event will focus on demonstrations and related deliverables from core areas in Testbed 19, including their future needs and potential challenges. In this event, OGC Members will present the outcomes of 2023’s biggest research and development initiative.
Day 1: January 16
- 9:00-9:15 AM EDT: Introduction
- 9:15-10:00 AM EDT: Geospatial in Space: selected OGC standards and technologies have been freed from their Terrestrial constraints and now allow geospatial analytic tools and techniques to be used on other astronomical bodies as well as in deep space. Learn about the integration of terrestrial and extraterrestrial analytic toolsets and processes.
- 10:15-11:00 AM EDT: Machine Learning (ML): learn about current approaches and possible alternatives to ML and the path laid out for future standardization of interoperable/transferable ML Models for Earth Observation applications.
- 11:15 AM-1:00 PM EDT: Geodatacubes (GDC): a demonstration of the newly developed GDC API and metadata model, tested against real-world use-cases, including a number of client applications for both data access and advanced visualization.
Day 2: January 17
9:00-9:15 AM EDT: Introduction
9:15-10:00 AM EDT: Analysis Ready Data (ARD): see ARD capabilities that deliver informational data at the right place and at the right time. Learn how improving the backend standardization has improved the ease-of-use of ARD across disparate use-case scenario implementations.
10:15-11:00 AM EDT: Agile Reference Architecture: an overview of the work undertaken in Testbed-19 to inform how Resilient Data Services in the generation after next will operate. Hear about the architecture elements created, developed and/or identified for agile reference architectures and understand how these can be used for defining different use-cases that allow different implementations for API Building Blocks.
11:15 AM-12:00 PM EDT: High Performance Computing (HPC): learn about the latest High-Performance Geospatial Computing Standards for geospatial analytics.
