OGC members access a world of expertise and partnership. There’s a membership level to suit everyone — from Strategic Members, who play an active role in setting the direction of the Consortium’s technology standard and specification activities, to Community Members, who gain access to exclusive member resources and participate in working group activities.
Contribute to Standards
OGC’s free and open geospatial standards provide a solid foundation for geospatial innovation. Our standards define interoperable methods for data Encoding, access, processing, and visualization, along with metadata and catalogue services. They are developed through an international, consensus-driven process, followed by thorough review and formal voting. If you’re facing geospatial interoperability challenges, you can choose to work with any of our existing standards or join us to seek the adoption of new ones.
Sponsor or Participate in an Innovation Initiative
The OGC’s Collaborative Solutions and Innovation Program (COSI) supports and accelerates our Standards program by driving rapid technology development. COSI assesses the technological maturity of geospatial solutions, gradually raising their Technology Readiness Level (TRL) to boost market acceptance. As a COSI Initiative sponsor, you can fund research aligned with your business needs while tapping into expert insights from across OGC. As a participant, whether as an organization or an individual, you engage in cutting edge geospatial research and innovation.
